&lt;p&gt;See you in September!&lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://www.trinitystpeters.org/FeatureDetail/BlogEntryDetail.aspx?BlogId=2&amp;BlogEntryId=84&amp;FeatureId=93</link><pubDate>22/07/2011 00:00:00</pubDate></item><item><title>Building update</title><description>&lt;p&gt;Due to the current economic situation funding was not made available to&amp;nbsp; continue with our phased upgrading of the school.&amp;nbsp; Fortunately Phase 1 and 2, the most important phases, were completed at a cost in excess of &amp;pound;1 millions pounds of which the governors 10% was paid for by the Diocese as part of the agreement reached during the merger process.&amp;nbsp; It is unlikely that any significant monies will become available in future years.&amp;nbsp; The governors have therefore decided to allocate over &amp;pound;70k of monies , not now required for phase 3, to upgrade the exterior of all the classrooms currently housing years 3,4,5 and 6.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; All the windows and doors will be replaced with the latest white aluminium frames and double glazing.&amp;nbsp; The wooden panels above the windows will also be replaced together with drainpipes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Additional fencing will also be installed to further enhance the safeguarding of our children.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This work will start very shortly and is programmed to be completed for the end of the summer school holidays.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This work will not only enhance the appearance of the building but, more importantly, will provide a more comfortable working environment for staff and children alike.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We wish Keith and Meg the very best for their retirement.&lt;/p&gt;
