FS WOW Service

Parents First Aid Course

The course will take place on 18th April between 9 a.m. - 12 a.m. and 24th April between 5 p.m.- 8 p.m.

Letters have been sent to parents who are attending this course.

Start Right

Start Right resumes on Thursday 26th April.

Trinity St. Peter's 'Start Right' is a group for children from birth to 3 years old. It involves child learning and development through play and builds upon child development already gained.

Interaction between parents and children in group sessions is highly focused and is aimed at enhancing educational well-being as well as familiarising the children with the school surroundings from an early age.

We run a session on Thursday mornings, from 9.00 a.m. - 10.15 a.m.

Sessions are held in our Nurture Suite during term time and last for 1 hour 15 minutes.

We do have a waiting list to join our Start Right group. If you would like your child's name to be added to the list or merely require more information, please contact Our Start Right Manager, Mrs. J. Giles, at school.

WOW FOR EASTER

There will be a very special "WOW FOR EASTER" on Wednesday 4th April - 12noon to 2.00pm in St. Peter's Church.

An exciting event has been organised for £1.00 per child on the door. (Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult)

The event has been designed to be fun and will include the children having a snack lunch, craft activities and worship.

Y6 Lakes Visit

After the Easter holidays, children in Year 6 will be visiting Lakeside YMCA. We are sure they will have a fabulous time!

Y1 Assembly

Sports Relief

New Head Teacher Appointed

The Governors are pleased to annouce the appointment of our new Head Teacher. Following an intensive two day selection process the Governors have appointed Debbie Pringle to the post effective from the 1st March 2012.

World Book Day

Children will be celebrating 'World Book Day' by bringing their dressing gown, slippers and favourite book into school on Thursday 1st March.

We are sure they will really enjoy having a good read whilst drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows.

Phonics Course

School finishes at the normal time on Friday 10th February. Children return to school on Monday 20th February.

Children in KS1 and KS2 may enter school from 8.40 am. Registration is at 8.50 a.m.

On Monday 20th February, children will experience 'First Aid' training sessions delivered by St. John's Ambulance.

Internet Safety

On Friday 20th January, after our 'Celebration Assembly', Rebecca Dodd from Sefton LA will talk to parents about ways to make sure children are safe on the internet. This presentation will last approx. twenty minutes. Rebecca will also be working with staff and children during this half term.

New Years Day Walk

There will be a Family Charity Walk on 1st January 2012. Family and friends are invited to meet at 1 o'clock, Freshfield pub car park to walk down Fisherman's Path and along the beach. It is a great way to start the year! This walk will end in the function room of the Freshfield pub at 3'ish for a drink and disco! Any donations will be given to Claire House and Cancer Support. This event will happen come rain or shine!

Parents and children thoroughly enjoyed singing 'Shine' today in Friday's celebration assembly so much so that some parents have requested the words so they can practise them at home! Next week we will hand out the musical instruments!
