Curriculum Statement

At Trinity St. Peter’s we believe in providing the very best quality teaching and learning for all of our pupils so that our school’s vision statement becomes a reality.

We are proud of our broad and rich curriculum for Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 which is aligned to our school’s  vision and values. This engages and excites all learners and provides opportunities for deeper learning so that they will all shine like the stars that they are in all that they do.

We have created our own Teaching and Learning model bespoke to our school. This 4C Thinking Model instills a love for learning enabling children to become curious, creative, critical, resilient learners who are kind to themselves and to others so that they can be the best that can be.

We use a range of valuable and engaging stimuli including class visits to places of interest, as well as using Twitter and Skype, to further connect pupil’s learning with experts to widen their experience of the community and the wider world they live in.

In addition to this, the school works beyond the National Curriculum in line with our vision and values so that the children access a current, relevant curriculum, which contextualizes the world in which they live in right now. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is at the heart of our curriculum ensuring Trinity St Peter's is a safe and inspiring place to learn, where children's rights are respected, their talents are nurtured and they are able to thrive. Our curriculum also encourages a deeper understanding of global injustice so to empower the next generation of agents of change.

We are very proud of the class blogs and Twitter feeds which showcase the outstanding curriculum our pupils are provided with each day to our parents and wider community.
