Well done Nursery, what a super week we have had!!

This week we had our very first ‘WOW’ service, this week, which was all about Harvest. The service was led by Anne and Caroline. The children enjoyed singing and doing the actions for ‘Old McDonald had and farm and Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’, Nursery your singing was fantastic. We were also treated to a visit from Caroline for our first Godly play of the year, Caroline talked to the children all about their ‘Gifts and Talents’, thank you Caroline we love it when you visit us in school

On Monday the children visited the Forest school site behind the church in the grounds of St Peter’s Church. They took their seats in the ‘Fire Circle’ and talked about the different rules and routines. The children learnt how to leave the fire circle safely and move around it without walking across the fire. They also took part in a game called 1,2,3 where are you. Maybe you could play this game at home?

The children began the week by finding the story of ‘The Little Red Hen’, they enjoyed listening to this and then through the week the children have acted out the story in our role-play area. The children were excited to discover that on Friday the Little Red Hen left them a variety of different bread to taste with honey and jam. The children enjoyed this tasty treat as a snack and wanted more!!!!!!! We have also enjoyed looking at different types of vegetables and using these to print with to create brilliant pictures.

We hope you have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing you on Monday.
