What a busy week we have had in Nursery!

On Wednesday we attended our ‘WOW’ service at St Peter’s Church. Anne and Caroline talked to the children all about Advent and how Jesus is the light of the world, they also talked about how we will be preparing for his birthday in the coming weks. Thank you both so much and we look forward to seeing you for our Christmas WOW on 13th December.

This week we began our new theme ‘People who Help Us’. On Tuesday the children were excited to find a crime scene, they had to look at the different clues and decide who they would need to call to help them. The children decided the Police were the right people for the job! So, we decided to become the police for the day to help solve the mystery of how Humpty Dumpty was hurt. On Thursday we were lucky to have a visit from a Community Police Officer Tim and Police Constable Gres and El who talked to the children about their job and also about ‘Stranger Danger’. The children were able to ask lots of questions and even try on some uniform.

As part of Road Safety Week, the children have spent some time learning to cross the road safely. They spent some time in the outdoor area first and then took their new skills to the road outside of the school. Here they demonstrated how sensible they were and that they remembered the simple rules; to make sure they are always holding a grown-ups hand and to stop, look and listen. What super stars!

Please can you ensure your child has a warm coat in school at all times and that it is clearly labelled with their name, thank you
