What a busy week we have had in Nursery! We hope you have all had a lovely half term break!

On Tuesday we hopped onto the coach and went off to Farmer Teds! We could not contain our excitement! The children took part in lots of different activities such as handling Guinee pigs, riding on mini tractors, visiting the minibeasts and even getting to stroke a snake! We then went on a very exciting tractor ride where we saw lots of ginormous dinosaurs. We gave a big ‘roar’ as we went past and the children enjoyed naming the different dinosaurs. We then watched the ‘sheep show’ where the Farmers told us all about the different sheep at the farm. One of them had the same name as one of our friends! What a fabulous day we had!

Following on from our trip, the children learnt all about where wool comes from. Kindly, one of the Farmers at Farmer Teds gave us some wool to take back to Nursery to handle and explore. The children recalled the process of how the wool is sheared from the sheep and how it can eventually be be used to make wool clothing such as socks, jumpers and hats.

On Wednesday Nursery could not believe what had happened! The sand had disappeared from Nursery. The children came up with many ideas as to where it could have gone or who could have taken it. We then decided to make a poster to help us find the missing sand and delivered it to each class in the school. I wonder where it could be!

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and see you all next week.
