We have had so much fun in the sun this week!

This week the search began for our missing sand. After seeing our ‘Missing sand’ poster, Mrs Meredith kindly came down to Nursery as she thought she had found our missing sand. In her hand was a bag that said ‘yellow’ on it. The children each lifted up the bag to see if the contents were heavy or light. We then opened it up to see what was inside! Unfortunately, it wasn’t our sand, it was just shredded paper! Never mind, the search continues!

On Tuesday, we gained some new tadpole friends in Nursery. The children have been learning about the life cycle of a frog and we can’t wait to see the tadpoles grow. On Thursday, Fred the frog left a challenge for Nursery to find the missing pieces of his jigsaw in the outdoor area. We followed the clues and then worked together to piece the jigsaw together. We discovered the jigsaw was an image of the life cycle of a frog and we discussed the different stages of growth and the change. Great team work Nursery!

Nursery have been very busy this week making tasty treats for their very special Dads and Grandads. We read a lovely book called ‘My Dad is brilliant’ and the children talked about why their Dad or Grandad is special to them. We hope you love the amazing cards and tasty rocky road that the children have made for you!

We hope you have a lovely weekend and Father’s Day celebration on Sunday. See you all next week!
