Reception - Autumn 1 - Week 3

This week in RE the children explored their own finger prints. We talked about how everyone’s finger print is different and unique to us. We then talked about how we know that we are special to God and he loves us all the same not matter what. The children then created a finger print painting that is unique, just like them!

This week the children have been learning all about the circus in preparation for the arrival of the circus next Tuesday. We looked at the different tricks and performances that may be seen there and looked at their amazing costumes. The children enjoyed balancing on stilts in the outdoor area, pretending to walk along a tight rope and played pin the nose on the clown. The children then enjoyed making a paper plate clown craft. On Tuesday we had a very exciting visit from ‘Bring the fire’ for a circus skills workshop. Reception enjoyed learning some new circus tricks using ribbons and scarves and performed along to some music. What a brilliant day we had!
