On Tuesday, the children were very excited to watch the circus arrive at Trinity St Peter’s. What an amazing circus this was! Thank you so much to Team TSP for organising this fantastic event.

On Wednesday, Reception went to their first ‘WOW’ service of the year. We were celebrating the festival of Harvest and three of the children stood at the front to say a prayer. We were so proud of how amazing you were! The children then sang two songs in front of their friends and family in church. Thank you for the all generous donations that will be going to the foodbank. Thank you to Anne and Caroline for a lovely service. On Thursday Caroline came to speak to the children about gifts and talents and the children were able to talk about what they are good at. We talked about how Jesus asks us to use our talents to help others. Thank you so much for out Godly play session.

After reading a story called ‘Oliver’s vegetables’, Reception discovered a basket of vegetables in the classroom. We looked at the vegetables and talked about how they looked and felt. The children talked about what their favourite vegetable is. The children then looked at the basket of vegetables and had a go at observational paintings with watercolours.

In Maths the children have been learning how to sort items. The children discovered a washing line with different socks hanging from it. We had to work together to find the matching sock to make a pair. We thought about what was different about the socks and what was the same. We then had a go at sorting buttons depending to their size, shape or colour.  Reception you have been amazing.

On Thursday we enjoyed taking part in an Afternoon tea performance with our Year 6 buddies. The children thoroughly enjoyed performing a song with their Year 6 friends. We hope you all enjoyed having the chance to meet your child’s year 6 buddy.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and see you all next week.

Miss Dalley and the Reception team.
