Another hectic week in the final half-term for our Year 6 pupils!

Production rehearsals have continued with the script now being finalised and all children happy with their roles. Parents should have received a message on Wednesday regarding clothes for the children to bring in; all other costumes will be organised / purchased by school. Mrs Meredith has reviewed our costume list and is very confused as to what the production is all about…but we think you will all enjoy it! Please encourage your child to practise their lines at home over the weekend - and try not to listen in!

On Tuesday, our final primary school trip took place as we ventured to Alton Towers! The children had been very excited in the build-up as we discussed how the day would work, looked at the theme park map and watched videos about particular rides. We set ourselves a challenge to all attempt Wicker Man when we first got there – before deciding if the ‘big rides’ were for us or not – and we are so proud to say that the class faced their fears and went on it! Well done, Year 6! Following this, we went on some rides as a class (The Rapids, Duel, Teacups) but also split into groups at various points to allow us to go on the types of rides we wanted. Despite limited time at the park, we were able to get on several other rides in groups, including Galactica, Nemesis and Blade. All in all, a successful day!

Throughout the week, it has also been the final Sefton Sumdog Contest of the year. As the inaugural winners for this academic year, we decided to enter one final time to bring a close to our mathematical journey at Trinity St. Peter’s. After a particularly hard push on Wednesday, we managed to climb from 10th place on the leaderboard to 1st place! Applying final pressure on Friday, we finished overall in…1st place! What a brilliant end to the week!

Our school book fair is currently taking place in the school portacabin and is open from 3.05pm to 3.30pm each day after school until next Wednesday 6th July. All purchases made, result in more books for our class libraries! Please do support us if you are able to, and thank you to those of you who have supported this event already. Your support is very much appreciated.

Finally, we hope all the children enjoyed their transition days at Greenbank High and Formby High School at the end of this week. It is all starting to become very real!

We look forward to seeing you all on Monday!
