This week we attended our WOW service which was all about Being Kind. Thank you to Anne, Caroline and Gordon for all your hard work and we look forward to seeing you at our next WOW service.

Continuing with our theme ‘Special People’ we were delighted to welcome Gordon to our class from St Peter’s Church. Gordon talked to the children about his role in church and the community and then talked items that are associated with his job such as the bible and a dog collar that he wears. Thank you, Gordon, for your time, it was so lovely to welcome you into our class. On Thursday we also welcomed Caroline into class for our Godly Play session, Caroline talked to the children about Kindness and how God wants us all to be kind and look after each other. Thank you also to Caroline, we do enjoy our Godly Play dates.

The children headed off to Forest school this week where they spent time looking at the many different coloured leaves that can be found at this time of year. The children then used the leaves and placed them onto sticks, creating ‘leaf stick trees’, we wonder what we will be learning at forest school next time we go!

It was ‘Kindness week’ in school this week that was launched with our very own school video, please follow the link if you have not already seen it! The children enjoyed working with their year 6 buddies to create a special ‘kindness heart’ which they added notes of kindness to and placed around the school for others to find. We ended the week by talking about ‘Children in Need’ and how they raise money for children across the country to help them thrive and be the best they can be.

The children spent some time with their team house this week, they have been busy making small decorations and treats that will be sold at the ‘Formby Christmas Light Switch on’. This will take place on Thursday 24th November from 4pm till 7:30pm, make sure you keep an eye out for our school stall, we look forward to seeing you there!

We hope you all have a peaceful weekend and look forward to seeing you all on Monday morning.
