Collective Worship Committee
The Collective Worship Committee are responsible for reviewing and improving the quality of Collective Worship within their year groups and across the school.
The children meet regularly with the RE & Collective Worship Subject Leader to discuss various topics, such as whole school worship, classroom worship and more.
Our committee members help to ensure that Collective Worship is a powerful opportunity for our school community to come together to worship God in a meaningful and age appropriate manner. The children also help to promote Christianity as a ‘living faith’.
The children also have opportunities to meet with the school vicars/curates and they serve as role models across the school whilst encouraging the participation of others in response to worship.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- To evaluate class and whole school worship;
- To promote faith across our school;
- To feedback ideas for additional worship, prayers and hymns;
- To discuss and help lead on school charitable and ‘Courageous Advocacy’ work.
