What a Festive and Fun-Packed Week!

Wow—what an amazing week we’ve had in Reception! We are so proud of the children and especially proud of their Christmas Nativity performance in church. They truly sang their hearts out and shared the true meaning of Christmas so beautifully. Thank you to all of you for coming to watch this special performance—it meant so much to the children.

The celebrations didn’t stop there! The children enjoyed a week full of festive fun, including:

· Santa Dash at Forest School

· Making Christingles

· Christmas Present Room

· A delicious Christmas Dinner (as tasty as ever!)

· A lively Christmas Party led by students from Formby High, where Reception joined Year 1 for games and laughter in the school hall—thank you, Formby High!

· And to finish the week, the incredible Christmas Extravaganza organised by Team TSP—thank you for making the day so special! There was even a visit from Father Christmas himself, which made the day truly magical.

The children had an amazing time and are definitely feeling festive!

Amid all the excitement, we still managed to squeeze in some learning:

In Maths, the children explored the difference between key events in their daily routine. They learned to recognise what happens during the day compared to at night and used words like first, then, after, before, day, night, morning, afternoon, today, and tomorrow to describe events.

Enjoy your festive weekend! We’re looking forward to our last few days before Christmas and making even more magical memories together.

Thank you for all your support during this busy festive season—it truly makes these moments even more special for the children. Whether it’s cheering them on at the Nativity, helping with learning at home, or simply sharing the excitement of Christmas, your involvement means so much.

We’re so proud of everything the children have achieved this term and can’t wait to enjoy the last few magical days together before the holidays. Wishing you a joyful, Christmassy weekend filled with laughter and happy memories!
