Reception - Summer 2 - Week 7

As we come to the end of our Reception year, it is hard to believe how quickly the time has passed. We have had such a wonderful year together, filled with learning, laughter, friendship and many special memories. The children have come such a long way since September, and we could not be prouder of all they have achieved.

Last week, the children took part in their final WOW Service at St Peter's Church, and they were absolutely fantastic. Every child spoke their words clearly and confidently, and they sang beautifully. It was lovely to see how much they have grown in confidence throughout the year. We know that all the parents and families who attended were delighted, and it was a truly special occasion for everyone involved.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to Mr Rigby, who kindly came to visit the class to talk about his job as a pilot. The children were fascinated as he shared photographs of his aircraft and explained what it is like to fly planes. They asked some brilliant questions and thoroughly enjoyed learning about such an exciting career. Thank you, Mr Rigby, for taking the time to come and talk to us.

The children have also enjoyed spending time with their Year 6 buddies over the past few weeks. They have taken part in lots of activities together as the Year 6 children prepare for their move to high school. It has been wonderful to see the friendships that have developed between the children, and we are sure these special bonds will be remembered for many years to come.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our parents and families for your continued support throughout the year. Your encouragement, kindness and partnership have helped to make this year such a success. We are also incredibly grateful for the thoughtful cards, gifts and kind words we have received. They have been very much appreciated.

As we say goodbye for the summer, we wish all of our families a happy, relaxing and fun-filled holiday. Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us this year. It has been a privilege to watch them learn, grow and flourish. We have made so many wonderful memories together, and we know that each and every child is ready for the exciting adventures that lie ahead in Year 1.
