Year 3 - Spring 2 - Week 5
Date: 24th Mar 2026 @ 10:52am

What a wonderful and memorable term it has been in Year 3! We are excited to share everything the children have been working on as we get ready for Easter.
We are so proud of the Year 3 Easter performance in church, and what an incredible job the children did. They spoke clearly, sang beautifully, and performed so well. Well done everyone.
In Maths, the children have continued their fantastic work on fractions. They’ve been comparing and ordering fractions, deciding which ones are greater, smaller, or equal, and explaining their reasoning clearly.
In English, Year 3 have been busy writing their own information text on the theme of saving the whales. They have explored what threatens whale populations and how people around the world are trying to protect them. Their final articles were informative, persuasive and full of thoughtful ideas.
To get ready for Easter, the children have enjoyed a range of seasonal activities, including: creating Easter cards, taking part in a very exciting Easter egg hunt, receiving a special visit from the Easter Bunny!
Throughout the week we enjoyed the Rock Steady concerts, where our talented musicians performed in their very own bands! The children were confident, enthusiastic and full of energy. It was wonderful to see them shine on stage and share their musical skills with the school.
Thank you to all our amazing Year 3 children for their hard work. We hope you all enjoy a happy and restful Easter break! Please see the attached Virtual classroom for a range of online websites to use over the Easter break.
