What a fantastic final week we have had in Year 3! The children have worked incredibly hard and should feel very proud of everything they have achieved.

In RE, we spent some time reflecting on our topic of 'Rules and why we follow them'. We discussed why rules are important and how they help to keep us safe, happy, and respectful. The children thoughtfully considered whether the 'Ten Commandments' are still important today and had some brilliant discussions about which rules they feel are most relevant. They also enjoyed coming up with their own rules for modern life.

In English, the children have been busy finishing their adventure stories inspired by the book 'Journey'. They have worked hard to include exciting vocabulary, interesting settings, and imaginative ideas.

In Maths, we have started our new topic of money. The children have been learning to convert between pounds and pence and have been practising adding different amounts using pretend money. They showed great engagement, especially during our practical activities!

In Art, we completed our wonderful Egyptian scrolls by adding detailed drawings. The finished pieces look fantastic!

To celebrate all of their hard work and positive behaviour, the class earned a well deserved reward for filling the pom pom jar. They chose to enjoy a movie and hot chocolate, which was a lovely way to end the half term together.

Have a lovely half term break!

Reminders:

PE will continue to be on a Tuesday and Swimming on a Wednesday after half term.
