It has certainly been a half-term of hard work!

After plenty of preparation and build-up, the time to sit our KS2 SATs finally arrived! We could not be any prouder of all the children; they showed such positivity, resilience and optimism throughout the week. As in previous years, it was once again wonderful to hear that the children found that SATs process wasn't actually as bad as they thought it could be and that lots of the children would like to visit the Year 5 children before the end of term to let them know this too. Well done, everyone - you are all superstars!

Despite the 'dull' nature of sitting assessments this half-term, we did also manage to find opportunities to have laughs along the way too, including:

•    Our final swimming lessons in primary school, including the last ‘fun lesson’!
•    Opportunities to represent the school in sports such as football and tag rugby.
•    The ‘SPaG rave’ in class on the Friday afternoon before SATs Week.
•    Our post-SATs ‘Beach Day’ celebration.

…and we are now very excited for all the leavers’ celebrations to follow next half-term!

Be sure to check the diary dates and letters regarding upcoming trips, including Alton Towers.

We hope the children all have a well-earned break next week...they certainly deserve it!

See you in a week!
