Year 6 - Summer 1 - Week 5
Date: 14th May 2026 @ 8:00pm

Year 6 have been truly sensational this week! Throughout SATs week, the children have shown incredible maturity, focus and resilience, approaching each day with calmness, positivity and a real sense of togetherness. We could not be prouder of the attitude and effort they have displayed from start to finish. They have supported one another brilliantly, risen to every challenge and represented both themselves and our school exceptionally well. SATs can be a demanding experience, but Year 6 handled the week with confidence and courage and they should all feel immensely proud of what they have achieved.
After completing their SATs, Year 6 enjoyed some special time with their Reception buddies by taking part in a minibeast hunt around the school grounds. The children were fantastic role models, helping their buddies search for different creatures, showing kindness and encouragement throughout.
To celebrate the end of a demanding week, Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Formby Pinewoods and Beach on Friday. The children spent the day taking part in games, exploring the surroundings and simply enjoying spending time together outdoors as a class. From rounders on the field to beach games and woodland walks, such fun was had. It was wonderful to see the children relaxing, laughing and making memories together after all of their hard work.
What a brilliant way to round off such a memorable week for Year 6. We hope everyone enjoys a very, very well-earned rest this weekend!
Reminders:
-PE days for Year 6 will continue to be Wednesday and Thursday. As swimming has now finished, Wednesday’s session will instead be an in-school PE lesson. Thank you.
