As we welcome July, it's hard to believe just how quickly this half term is flying by! Year 6 have enjoyed another busy and memorable week, filled with exciting learning opportunities and special events. With the end of primary school now in sight, the children are making the most of every opportunity that these final weeks have to offer. From memorable events and celebrations to exciting learning experiences, this is a special time in their primary school journey. The week has been made even more special by the return of some TSP alumni who joined us as part of their Year 10 work experience.

As part of their preparations for the Leavers' Service, Year 6 enjoyed a visit to Holy Trinity Church to record their leavers' dance. We won't give too much away, but the children have been absolutely fantastic throughout the process. Whether experienced dancers or complete beginners, everyone has embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, determination and a great sense of teamwork. We can't wait for you to see the finished performance at our Leavers' Service!

In Maths, Year 6 made their way to Formby High School to take part in the annual Maths Maze competition. Competing against teams from other local primary schools, the children put their mathematical thinking, teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test as they tackled a series of challenging activities. There was certainly a competitive atmosphere as teams battled to earn as many points as possible, but the event was just as much about collaboration, resilience and having fun. The children approached every challenge with enthusiasm and determination, representing Trinity St Peter's brilliantly throughout the morning. A huge thank you to Formby High School for hosting the event - we thoroughly enjoyed it!

In English this week, Year 6 began planning and drafting heartfelt thank-you letters to their Reception buddies. Reflecting on the special memories they have shared throughout the year, the children carefully considered what they wanted to say before they will write up their final letters next week and deliver them to their buddies. It has been lovely to see the care and thought that has gone into each letter as the children prepare to mark the end of this special partnership.

With just a few weeks of primary school remaining, we are looking forward to making the most of the time left. Next week will be another busy one as rehearsals for our Leavers' Service continue to gather pace, with the children putting the finishing touches to what promises to be a memorable celebration of their time at Trinity St Peter's. Until then, enjoy the weekend!
