We have had another fantastic week in Clubhouse!

To celebrate the start of the World Cup, we thought it was only fitting to decorate club for the occasion. Using some prior knowledge and a bit of help from staff (mainly the internet), the children carefully coloured in the flags for the different teams taking part in the World Cup for us then to hang around club. After a few requests from the older children, we have also been watching the 4pm matches in club which has been a nice change and made the dark nights a little easier to cope with.

The children have also been supporting Queenscourt and Woodlands Hospices this week by making and decorating Christmas decorations for the Christmas Tree Bonanza on Saturday 3rd December at Holy Trinity Church. To do this, the children decided to make some salt dough star decorations which they carefully cut out, baked and then decorated. They looked fantastic when they were done and we can’t wait to see the finished products on the Christmas trees.

Our table top games have also been very popular this week; Jenga, the game of life and even boggle have all been a hit. The children showed great English knowledge when trying to create words using the dice that had been rolled in boggle – there were definitely some ‘alien words’ thrown in.

We have had lots of activity in our construction area this week, the children have been working in teams to make the best models using different construction equipment. It was lovely to see children of all ages working together and helping each other.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
