Remembrance Day

Our school came together on 11th November to mark Remembrance Day in meaningful ways. Each class created beautiful poppy wreaths, using a range of creative techniques when designing their poppies. At 11:00am, the whole school observed a two-minute silence, which was carried out beautifully with respect and reflection. Our Year 6 students visited the Cenotaph in Formby Village to pay their respects, while other KS2 classes visited the war memorial at St. Peter's Church, also laying wreaths on behalf of Foundation Stage and KS1. It was a special day of remembrance, honouring those who served and sacrificed their tomorrow for our today.

Our boys' football team recently took part in a football tournament at Marine Football Club, facing tough competition from schools around Crosby and the surrounding area. Despite the level of play, the team held their own with some hard-fought draws and battled through a few defeats against quality opponents. The players showed great resilience and determination throughout, and they’re already looking forward to building on this experience in future matches. Well done, team!

Our Year 5 team had an exciting day at the Liverpool Academy, taking to the pitch for their very first tournament together! Competing against local schools, the team showed fantastic teamwork and determination, securing two conclusive wins alongside two narrow 1-0 defeats that could easily have gone the other way. A highlight of the day was a stunning 6-0 victory, featuring some truly impressive goals from a well-rehearsed corner routine. The children are already looking forward to their next time playing together. Well done, team!

Our girls' school football team recently took part in an exciting tournament hosted by Formby Community FC, competing against local Formby and Southport schools. The girls put on an incredible performance in their first time together playing as a team, showcasing incredible sportsmanship and a love for the sport.

We couldn't be more proud of their efforts from start to finish. Even with minimal rest time between matches, they kept up the energy throughout! Well done!

Hello Yellow Day

To mark Hello Yellow Day, KS1 and KS2 designed their our own sunflowers using bright colours, positive messages and uplifting images. Nursery and Reception also planted daffodils in their outdoor area to bring brightness to our EYFS community and Year 6 read "Cicada" by Shaun Tan, which had them thinking more about showing appreciation to others.

As Hello Yellow Day is all about showing young people that they are not alone with their mental health, the children's flowers created a reminder of how we are all here to support each other and collectively the day demonstrated the love and support in our TSP Family.

Above all the day enabled us to take away such an important message - Things can get better, because we stand brighter, together.

Our boys' school football team recently took part in an exciting tournament at the LFC Academy, competing against local Formby and Southport schools. In what was their first tournament as a team, they each played with skill, determination, and a fantastic attitude, going unbeaten all the way to the final.

Throughout the group stages, the team showcased their talent, scoring plenty of goals and finishing top of the league based on goal difference.

Though they narrowly missed out in the final, their journey was incredible, and we couldn’t be prouder of their hard work, teamwork and sportsmanship. Well done!

Our KS1 and KS2 pupils attended St. Peter's Church for the Harvest Service, led by Year 5.

The Year 5 children delivered heartfelt readings, led the congregation in thoughtful prayers and hymns, and performed a wonderful piece portraying the Bible story, Feeding the 5000.

The children beautifully captured the spirit of the Harvest, reminding us all of the importance of sharing and gratitude. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the special atmosphere they created for everyone in attendance.

The children have also been busy creating a Harvest display for a window at Holy Trinity church.

Well done, Year 5!

Pantomime - Aladdin

To reward the children for their hard work and effort they were treated to a performance of Aladdin. The children loved the show especially the dance off between Mr King and Mr McCabe.
