Nursery - Spring 1 Week 6
Date: 12th Feb 2025 @ 8:18am
Time flies when you are having fun! We have been busy learning new things and encouraging the children with their independence. The children are good at managing their own coat and zipping it up as well as taking off and putting our own shoes on. Well done!
- This half term the children have particularly enjoyed learning all about Winter and different animals especially penguins. They have enjoyed exploring the artic small world. They have listened to the story of ‘Gruffalo’ and enjoyed retelling the story with the characters.
Other highlights include:
- We have also welcomed some new children to our class; who have settled well and are making new friends.
- Forest school where we have made bird feeders and bird hides for us to spot different birds from. We have also enjoyed talking about spotting the signs of Winter and the changes it brings.
- Painted Winter scenes and pictures of penguins where we enjoyed mixing our own colours for them. We have then enjoyed washing our own mixing palettes and brushes independently.
- Celebrated Chinese New Year the children enjoyed making lanterns, snakes, taking part in Dragon dancing and we enjoyed our own Chinese banquet. We have learnt lots of new facts that we love to share with others.
- We enjoyed a visit from My Dentist Formby as part of Dental Health Month to talk to us about how we look after our teeth and how we can keep them healthy by the food we eat.
Have a lovely half term break.
