What a fantastic first week back we have had!

At the start of the week, Nursery had a surprise delivery. They children found three ginormous footprints that led to three large eggs. Nursery noticed that there was a letter that asked Nursery if they could look after the eggs until they hatch and make a safe, cosy nest for them. The children enjoyed guessing what could be inside the eggs and we talked about the shape and size of them. They then concluded, that they think they are dinosaur eggs. Working as a team, the children then set off into the outdoor area to find items that could be used to make the nest. We then waited patiently all week to see if we noticed any changes. When Friday came, Nursery could not believe their eyes! The eggs had hatched and three baby Tyrannosaurus-Rex’s were inside. In the afternoon, the Mother, Stompy, returned to give Nursery a special gift for looking after them, which was a book called, ‘Giganotosaurus' and a little tasty dinosaur treat. Nursery, you were all fabulous!

On Wednesday, the children got on their gardening gloves and helped to pull all the weeds out and tidy up our lovely outdoor area for forest school. What great helpers you are! In the afternoon we headed over to St Peter's Church for our ‘WOW’ service. Anne and Caroline talked to us all about the importance of friendship. Thank you both for a lovely service.

On Thursday, Nursery enjoyed learning about the features of different types of dinosaurs through some music. The children enjoyed learning the actions and joined in with the songs. Stomp, Stomp, Stomp!

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and see you all next week!

Please can everyone be mindful of the weather and ensure the children have a coat and a jumper with them in school.
