On Wednesday the children attended the final WOW service of the half term, Anne talked to the children about how God made all of us and we are all amazing. We were incredibly proud of the children who read prayers in front of the congregation. Well done!

This week the children enjoyed another visit to Forest school where they recapped Forest school rules the calling sound and how we use the sitting circle. The children were then encouraged to go and collect a leaf where they had to cut it in half to make leaf jigsaws. It was lovely to hear the children discussing the different shape, sizes and colours of the leaves. We brought the leaf jigsaws back to class so that we could play with them and match them this week.

For our theme we have loved listening to the story ‘Owl Babies’ we have learnt lots of fascinating facts about Owls and also thought about other Nocturnal animals. The children have enjoyed creating their own owl from a pinecone, the children even enjoyed creating a dark den where they had the opportunity to explore torches and glow sticks!

Please see or updated virtual classroom attached to this blog if you would like to explore any of the themes we will be exploring after the half term.

Well done Reception you have worked very hard this half term, enjoy the holidays and we will see you on Monday 31st October.
