In Maths, we have continued with our shape topic. This week we have worked on horizontal and vertical and linked this to lines of symmetry. We have then moved onto sorting shapes by the number of sides and vertices and worked on 3D shapes. Next week we will be working on knowing the amount of faces, edges and vertices that different 3D shapes have.

In English, we have started writing an information text about the Great Fire of London incorporating all of the information and facts that we have learnt so far. We can't wait to see the finished pieces of writing.

In Outdoor Education we created a piece of art using natural resources in small groups. It was great to see everyone's creativity and teamwork to create their ideas.

In Computing, we started our online coding topic. The children were introduced to the app Scratch Junior and the key words of coding and debugging. The children explored what the different blocks in Scratch Junior do when they are added to the code and practised fixing any problems with their code.

In RE, we focussed on the shepherds within the nativity story, how they spread the good news and why they shared the news.

We enjoyed watching the Rock Steady Concert where our friends performed in their own bands. It was brilliant to see them play instruments and sing so enthusiastically.

We had a lovely Friday completing our Santa Dash and trying to work out the clues for each elf. We all worked well together to work out which one of the 9 elves was missing.
