Year 2 - Autumn 2 - Week 7

What a magical week we have had in year 2!

This week the children have finished off their computing topic using Scratch Junior and in the final lesson they were able to use all of the skills and coding knowledge that they had learnt to create their own stories with moving characters and speech.

On Tuesday the children enjoyed making their own Christmas party bags, they even decided to add their own handles to make them easier to carry. They have also made their own Christmas cards and added some festive glitter. 

We walked to Church and saw year 4 perform their Nativity which was brilliant and helped the children to embrace the Christmas spirit.

Reminders and information for next half term

• Our PE days will now be on a Monday and Friday each week.

• Please ensure all jumpers and cardigans are clearly labelled so they can always be returned.

• Children will not be bringing books home over the holidays. We encourage you to continue reading their favourite books together to keep their love of reading alive.

• Phonics QR codes have been sent out today on paper for easier scanning. Please practise these over the next few weeks to support sound knowledge.

• A reminder to please use the new school email for any communication moving forward.
