What a brilliant week we've had in Year 3! Here's a peek at all the exciting things we've been learning and doing across our subjects:

This week in English, we’ve been planning and writing our very own diary entries. We’ve been learning how to use paragraphs to organise our thoughts and ideas. We talked about why we change paragraphs; like when we start a new topic, a new time, or a new place in our writing. It’s helped our diaries feel more personal and easier to read!

In Maths, we’ve continued exploring place value and how numbers work. We’ve been predicting where numbers go on a number line and comparing them using greater than (>), less than (<), or equal to (=). We’ve also been practising our times tables, getting quicker and more confident every day!

Our Science lessons took us inside the body this week as we looked at different types of skeletons. We discovered that some animals have endoskeletons, some have exoskeletons, and some have no skeleton at all!

In Geography, we’ve been comparing two European cities: Paris and London. We looked at their landmarks, languages, transport, and even food! It was fun spotting similarities and differences.

PE was all about creativity and control. We made up our own movement routines and practiced symmetry using equipment like mats and benches. It was a great way to work on balance and teamwork while having loads of fun.

In Art, we let our imaginations run wild! We drew pictures of what we thought might grow out of a seed; and wow, did we come up with some amazing ideas! From multicoloured leaves to candy flowers, our creativity really bloomed.

The children have really enjoyed working together to make a scarecrow for St. Peters Church. Paddington looks amazing!
