Year 3 - Autumn 1 - Week 8

Well, what a fantastic start to the year! We have been so busy that the time has flown by!

Here are some of our Year 3 highlights:

  • Writing amazing narratives based on ‘Seal Surfer’ by Michael Foreman and publishing them into our author books.
  • Investigating place value and learning methods for mental addition and subtraction.
  • Learning about skeletons and muscles in Science.
  • A visit from Rev Anne, Mark and Lilly, who talked with us about being called by God.
  • A visit from Dog’s Trust to teach us how to be a dog’s best friend.
  • New skills and fun in gymnastics and hockey.
  • Using our new laptops for Coding Week and our Computing day learning about our online identity.
  • Designing and creating our own chocolate bars for Roald Dahl Day.
  • Making a sunflower for Hello Yellow Day

 

Reminders for next half term:

  • PE days will continue to on a Monday and Tuesday.
  • Please remember to bring spelling log books into school each Monday. They will be brought home on Wednesdays, with spellings that children have selected to focus on.
