Welcome to the Year 4 blog for the academic year 2025–2026.

Reminders for this half term:

A weekly spelling list will be uploaded to the Spellings section on Google Classroom. The spellings will then be tested in class the following Friday. Once Year 4 have had time to access and learn how to navigate their new Google Classroom, parents will be notified when the first spelling list has been uploaded.

We are pleased to offer Year 4 the opportunity to gain a Junior Forester Award accredited by The Royal Forestry Society. Children will attend a two-day, hands-on programme at the Laurels Wood site:

Children should wear PE kits every Tuesday for PE and every Wednesday for swimming. Swimming lessons commence on Wednesday 10 September 2025.

Recorder lessons take place every Monday.

To encourage the children to stay hydrated throughout the day, we ask that they bring a water bottle to school.
