Year 4 - Spring 2 - Week 6
Date: 26th Mar 2025 @ 9:32pm
Another wonderful term in Year 4! Take a look at some of our highlights:
- We learnt all about healthy habits with the Active Sefton team who supported us in understanding the importance of a healthy diet and exercise.
- What an incredible time we had on our trip to Liverpool Cathedral! Not only were we in awe of the cathedral's beauty but we learnt so many new facts about the Easter story.
- In recognition of International Women's Day, we enjoyed creating Pop Art to recognise the incredible women who helped shape today's world.
- Costumes filled the classroom on World Book Day as we dressed to impress as our favourite characters from our most loved books.
- With the help of the fantastic Mrs Whitehead from Formby High School, we have been creating a performance inspired by the film 'Matilda'. We can't wait to share our performing arts project with you next term!
- In English, we wrote our own version of ‘When the Giant Stirred’ in the first person from the point of view of the boy in the story. This really was a fantastic read that brought so much creative ideas to our writing.
- Our understanding of length, perimeter and fractions developed and we continue our focus on decimals next term.
- We explored the Easter story and had fun finding moments of trust and betrayal between characters in our favourite movies.
- Looking back at the past, we identified who the Anglo-Saxons were and what Saxon times were like.
Our Virtual Classroom for the Summer term is attached, alongside a wealth of resources on our class Google Classroom, should you wish to complete any additional home learning over the Easter break.
